PKP Cargo and Ministerstwo Obrony Narodowej have signed a framework agreement to strengthen cooperation in railway transport for national defense purposes. The partnership is aimed at improving Poland’s military logistics capabilities and troop mobility.

The agreement covers the transport of military equipment and heavy machinery, development of dual-use infrastructure and assets for both civilian and military applications, and the potential use of PKP Cargo’s terminals, rail sidings, and locomotives, including those operating on non-electrified lines. The two sides will also cooperate on logistics, communications, transport security, and crisis-response capabilities.

The Defense Ministry additionally expressed support for investments related to dual-use transport infrastructure, particularly projects linked to moving heavy military equipment within Poland and abroad.
