PLN 4.8B for tech transition

The Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy announced that PLN 4.8 billion will be allocated under the European Funds for a Modern Economy (FENG) 2021–2027 program through two new instruments: the Critical Technologies Support Fund and the Digital and Environmentally Friendly Transformation Fund.
The Critical Technologies Support Fund, with a budget of around PLN 4 billion, will support strategic sectors such as clean tech, digital technologies, and biotechnology. Its first call, focused on biotechnology, is expected in the second half of June 2025. The Polish Agency for Enterprise Development and the National Centre for Research and Development will oversee implementation.
The goal is to reduce strategic dependencies and enhance the EU’s economic sovereignty, with benefits for Poland.
The Digital and Environmentally Friendly Transformation Fund, worth PLN 800 million, will offer loans—some partially forgivable—for companies investing in Industry 4.0 solutions and green technologies, starting in early 2026.
