The Markit PMI Index of Purchasing Managers of the Polish industrial sector fell to 47.8 points in September 2019 from the 48.8 points recorded a month ago, Markit, a specialist supplier of economic research, has informed.

“In September, PMI recorded a value below the neutral threshold of 50.0 for the eleventh month in a row, signaling that the economic conditions in the Polish manufacturing sector deteriorated again. In addition, the index fell from the 48.8  points recorded in August to 47.8, recording only a slightly higher value than in July (47.4), when it saw the weakest result in over six years,” Markit stated.

In September, the business optimism of Polish entrepreneurs from the manufacturing sector was the weakest since 2012, i.e. since the beginning of the Future Production Index, Markit also emphasized.
