The PMI index for Poland was at the level of 48.8 points in May against 49.0 points in April and against the forecast 49.0 points, Markit, index developer, reported
“According to the latest results of research conducted by IHS Markit in May, the economic conditions in the Polish industrial sector continued to deteriorate. Production, new orders and exports fell again, though at a slower pace than at the beginning of this year, the level of employment and purchasing activity also decreased,” Markit commented.
Export demand fell for the tenth month in a row, in addition at a rapid pace, which clearly affected the condition of the industry.
