PMI for euro area sligtly up in August
The manufacturing purchasing managers index in the eurozone rose to 47 in August from 46.5 a month earlier, according to preliminary data of Markit. Market consensus was 46.2 points. Still, the indicator was below a critical 50 mark that separates growth in industrial activity from contraction.
