The PMI index for Poland in July was at the level of 52.8 points against 47.2 points in June and against the forecast of PAP Biznes of 50.0 points, the Markit reported.
"Sector conditions have not improved so significantly in one month in the last two years. Moreover, the most recent result was well above the long-term survey average (since 1998) of 50.3 points. A 5.6-point increase in the headline index was the third strongest monthly increase in the history of the study, right after the results recorded in May and June this year,” Markit wrote in the commentary.
Trend Markit reports that in July all sub-indices had a positive impact on the reading of the main index, with the largest increases in production (+2.6 points), new orders (+2.1) and delivery time (+0.6) .
The authors of the study report that in July the number of new orders received by Polish producers increased. The growth rate of new contracts was the fastest since July 2018.
