Poland became the European Union’s largest exporter of candles to non-EU countries in 2024, according to Eurostat. The country’s candle exports reached €85 million, representing 19% of all EU candle exports. This allowed Poland to surpass France (€80 million, 18%), followed by the Czech Republic and Denmark (each €47 million, 10%).
Overall, the EU exported candles worth €450 million to markets outside the bloc, while importing €513 million. The United Kingdom remained the top destination, accounting for nearly one-third of EU exports (€127 million, 28%), followed by Switzerland (€81 million, 18%) and the United States (€68 million, 15%).
The data underscores Poland’s growing competitiveness in consumer goods manufacturing and its strengthening position in the global candle trade.
