Poland may enter technical recession in 2-3 quarters
Poland may enter a technical recession in 2-3 quarters, according to Paweł Borys, the CEO of the Polish Development Fund (PFR).
"The performance of the economy will be a little better this year, a little worse next year. We may enter a technical recession in 2-3 quarters. Policy has to be balanced – inflation has to be fought, but fiscal policy has to ensure a soft landing. The coming months will be a balancing act between a severe and a milder economic slowdown," Pawel Borys said during a conference of the Chamber of Brokerage Houses.
