Poland as the Largest Beneficiary of EU Funds

Poland is the largest beneficiary of EU funds, while Germany remains the largest net contributor, according to a study published this week by the German Economic Institute in Cologne.
Despite Germany's long-standing position as the EU's largest net contributor, the country has recently reduced its contributions to the common budget.
Meanwhile, Poland, still the largest recipient of EU funds according to the German study, received about €8 billion more last year than it contributed. Following Poland are Romania (€6 billion more) and Hungary (€4.6 billion more).
