Poland will invest in Rafako to turn company into arms manufacturer

Prime Minister Donald Tusk confirmed that the government will invest in Rafako to transform it into a defense manufacturer. The Racibórz-based company’s assets, taken over by the newly created Racibórz Component Factory (RFK)—a venture by ARP, Polimex Mostostal, and TF Silesia—will produce chassis for military vehicles on which rockets and radars will be mounted. The project will secure over 500 jobs and strengthen Poland’s defense industry. The Polish Armaments Group (PGZ) plans to modernize Rafako’s facilities within 1.5 years and use them, along with sites in Jelcz-Laskowice and Sanok, for Jelcz production.
Funded under the “Narew” defense program, the investment links industrial renewal with national security, marking Rafako’s transformation from energy to defense production.
