The Polish Ministry of Digitalization, led by Minister Janusz Cieszyński, has reported that over 3.5 million digital ID cards, known as "mDowód," have been created through the new mObywatel (mCitizen) app since August 14. This updated app allows citizens to generate electronic identity cards, providing secure access to various online services and features.

Among the functionalities offered are ticket purchases for trains ("Bilkom"), travel services for Poles abroad, driver penalty point tracker, and a safe bus service. Additionally, new features such as an air quality report and vehicle history information will be introduced soon. Minister Cieszyński expects to continually expand the app's offerings, with one or two new features added each month.
