Interest in temporary work in Poland has increased by 40% over the past year, according to a report by Grupa Progres. This trend includes not only young people and retirees but also full-time employees and freelancers, driven mainly by rising living costs. Currently, 1 in 10 job postings is for temporary work, particularly in retail, HoReCa (Hotel, Restaurant, Catering), logistics, production, services, and agriculture.

Wages for temporary positions vary: PLN 28.10 to PLN 30 gross per hour in retail and logistics, and potentially higher in agriculture. Remote and hybrid jobs can earn a few thousand PLN per month, with online teachers earning between PLN 2,000 and PLN 5,000.

The report also notes that workers are legally allowed to take additional jobs unless restricted by their primary employment contract, and temporary work can be combined with a regular job.
