Police and NASK begin CROPT project to fight cyberattacks using PLN 37.5 million from KPO

Poland’s Police and the National Research and Academic Computer Network (NASK) have launched the CROPT project, worth PLN 37.5 million and funded by the National Recovery Plan. The initiative aims to strengthen the country’s cyber incident response through close cooperation between NASK-PIB, the Police, and the Prosecutor’s Office. Specialized teams will assist attacked institutions with incident handling, data recovery, and digital forensics, while also modernizing police units.
A key element is a new IT system to streamline communication between CSIRT NASK, law enforcement, and affected entities, ensuring transparency, procedural predictability, and integrity of evidence. The project includes equipment, software, and training, with completion scheduled for June 2026.
