Polimex Mostostal reports PLN 349 mln loss in 2024
Polimex Mostostal reported a consolidated net loss of PLN 348.58 million in 2024, a significant increase compared to a PLN 123.21 million loss in 2023. Operating loss rose to PLN 399.18 million, and EBITDA loss widened to PLN 350.76 million. Revenue slightly decreased by 5% y/y, totaling PLN 2.86 billion, with the oil, gas, and chemical segment and the manufacturing segment contributing most to sales.
The heavy losses stemmed mainly from one-time adjustments, particularly margin reductions on major energy projects like Puławy and EC Czechnica-2, amid broader sector challenges such as rising costs for materials, energy, and labor. International sales made up 23% of total revenue. The company remains active in construction for sectors like energy, petrochemicals, and environmental industries and is listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (sWIG80).
