Polish agri-food exports hit record €53.5B

Poland's agri-food sector achieved record exports in 2024, with revenues rising 2.7% year-on-year to €53.5 billion, according to a report by the National Support Centre for Agriculture. Sales increased in both EU and non-EU markets, with exports beyond Europe reaching €14 billion (26% of total trade).
The top export category was meat, meat products, and livestock, accounting for €10.8 billion (20%). Other major exports included grains (€6.5B), tobacco (€5.6B), sugar and confectionery (€4.5B), dairy (€3.5B), and fish (€3.1B).
The EU remained Poland’s largest trade partner (74% of exports, €39.5B), with Germany, France, and Italy as key markets. Meanwhile, exports to Turkey (+26%) and Switzerland (+45%) surged. Despite record sales, Poland’s trade surplus fell 4.4% to €17.9 billion as imports grew 6.7% to €35.6 billion.
