Pathway, an AI company founded by Polish researchers and now based in the US, has reached a valuation of $500 million after raising additional seed funding. The company is developing a new AI architecture intended to be cheaper and more computationally efficient than today’s transformer-based large language models.

Pathway says its approach could improve reasoning, memory and continuous learning while reducing computing and energy requirements. Since 2024, the company has operated as an AI “neolab,” focusing primarily on research and new model development. Its founders include CEO Zuzanna Stamirowska, Jan Chorowski, formerly of Google Brain, and Adrian Kosowski.

Pathway has now raised $30 million in seed funding and is using the latest capital to expand computing capacity, including Nvidia GB300 chips, and train larger multitask models.
