Polish army will have the second-largest fleet of Apache helicopters in the world

As stated during a September visit to Boeing facilities in Arizona by Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak, there is a likelihood of signing a contract for the purchase of 96 AH-64E Apache helicopters, possibly later this year.
"The main advantage of Apache attack helicopters for Poland will be interoperability with the U.S. military and a radar that allows for fire coordination in collaboration with other aircraft and forces," Kathleen Jolivette, Vice President of Boeing and Managing Director for helicopters, said.
She added that with the acquisition of 96 Apaches, Poland will have the largest fleet of these helicopters outside the USA.
