Credit Agricole increased the GDP growth forecast for 2019 to 4.7 percent from 4.3 percent expected earlier and upheld the forecast for 2020 at 3.8 percent. In turn, Bank Pekao increased the forecast of Poland's economic growth for 2019 to 4.5 percent from 4 percent expected earlier.
The correction of forecasts in both cases is confirmed by the surprisingly good results of the first quarter and the prospect of an increase in social transfers.
