Polish defence group explores major stock listing
Polish defence technology company WB Group is moving closer to a Warsaw Stock Exchange debut, with shareholders agreeing to pursue an initial public offering. According to Rzeczpospolita, the group has begun seeking banks to advise on a transaction that could happen in the first half of 2027. The business could be valued at as much as PLN 30 billion, although no valuation or listing timetable has been announced.
The prospect reflects growing investor interest in Poland’s defence sector as European countries increase military spending and seek domestic suppliers of technology. WB Group reported first-half 2026 net profit of PLN 519.6 million, up from PLN 253.9 million a year ago, while revenue approached PLN 1.6 billion. A company representative described a stock market listing as one option being considered by shareholders, rather than a decision. Any offering remains subject to preparations.
