Polish economy is gaining momentum
Polish business sentiment is improving across an increasing range of sectors, signaling that the economic recovery is becoming broad-based rather than selective. Confidence indicators are rising in industry, transport and logistics, hospitality, and finance, while only retail shows slight weakening. As a result, the overall business climate index reached –3.5 points in November, its highest level in over four years. Although still negative, the upward trend suggests strengthening momentum.
The index typically leads GDP growth, which aligns with Poland’s solid performance: 3.2% growth in the first half of the year and 3.7% in Q3. Projections show GDP accelerating to around 3.7% next year, driven mainly by EU-funded investment, as the economy approaches balanced, stable conditions.
