Polish economy sags to its two years low

According to the Central Statistical Office (GUS), the synthetic economic climate index (SI) calculated on the basis of a survey among companies fell in July to 101.1 points from 101.8 points in June. It has been in a downward trend since the beginning of 2018, but it still remains above the long-term average (100 points). As CSO's surveys among enterprises suggests, the economic situation in Poland is the weakest since March 2017. It deteriorated in all sectors of the economy analyzed by the GUS, to the greatest extent in services and in retail trade, to the smallest extent in the processing industry.
