Sold production of industrial enterprises increased by 8.8 percent in September 2021 on an annual basis, informed the Central Statistical Office (GUS). On a monthly basis, production grew by 11 percent. Analysts expected September to increase industrial production by 8 percent y/y.
The increase was lower after eliminating the influence of seasonal factors. In this approach, in September this year, industrial production sold was 8.7 percent higher than in the corresponding month of 2020 and by 0.9 percent compared to August 2021, the GUS reported.
Growth was recorded in most sectors. The production of energy-related goods increased by 14 percent, intermediate goods by 13.8 percent, durable consumer goods by 5.7 percent, and non-durable consumer goods by 4.8 percent.
On the other hand, the production of capital goods decreased slightly, by 0.8 percent.
