Poland is expected to maintain one of the highest budget deficits in the European Union, with the general government deficit projected at 7.1% of GDP in both 2026 and 2027. The government’s 2027 budget assumes revenues of PLN 695 bln and expenditures of PLN 977.6 bln, producing a budget deficit of PLN 282.6 bln. Rising debt will push debt-servicing costs to PLN 107 bln, PLN 17 bln more than in 2026. Planned tax changes include a new 24% personal income tax bracket and higher corporate taxes for large companies.

Defense spending is set at PLN 198.1 bln, while healthcare expenditure is expected to reach PLN 274.1 bln.
