Polish government approves deregulation and housing support bills

The Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers has approved two legislative proposals: the Deregulation Act and the Social Housing Support Act, according to Maciej Berek, head of the Government Legislation Center.
The Deregulation Act aims to simplify business regulations through three key changes: easing business startups, streamlining operations, and making economic laws more entrepreneur-friendly. Key measures include reducing microbusiness audits to 6 days, digitizing appeal procedures, and introducing mediation incentives in administrative cases.
The Social Housing Support Act increases funding for social and municipal housing and preferential loans for rental housing investors. It also allows subsidies for student and doctoral housing projects through the Subsidy Fund, strengthening support for local governments and developers.
