Polish government expands possibilities of financing from FENG with defense technologies
The Polish government has approved changes to the European Funds for a Modern Economy 2021-2027 program, making defense technologies the fourth key area eligible for financing from the Critical Technologies Support Fund. Companies developing technologies for defense and security, including dual-use solutions with civilian and military applications, will gain access to additional funding for investment and capacity building.
The changes will also allow support for Polish researchers and businesses whose projects received high ratings under Horizon Europe but were not funded because of budget constraints. Funding available through the Biznesmax guarantee instrument will also increase. The government says the revised rules will make the program more flexible and simplify implementation of individual financing instruments.
