Polish Grupa WB’s drones fly up to 100 km for Ukraine

Polish defense company WB Group has become a key supplier of drones in Ukraine, where its Warmate loitering munitions are widely used to destroy Russian electronic warfare systems. Their resilience to GPS and radio jamming, tested since 2014, gives Ukraine an edge in contested environments. Reconnaissance drones like FlyEye also achieve long-range missions of over 100 km, supporting intelligence and battlefield coordination.
WB is preparing a joint venture with South Korea’s Hanwha Aerospace to produce Homar-K missiles in Poland, with ambitions to later develop cruise missiles. Vice President Adam Bartosiewicz stressed future priorities: enhancing drone autonomy, integrating AI-driven recognition, and building networked reconnaissance systems, while maintaining WB’s strategy of diversification and system integration across global markets.
