Polish industrial production jumps 5.1%
Polish industrial production increased 5.1% year-on-year in July, providing another positive signal for the economy at the start of the second half of 2026. Manufacturing output rose 4.4%, while mining and quarrying production increased 18.5%. Electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning output was up 7.4%, while water supply and waste management grew 11.3%.
The annual figures nevertheless represented a slowdown from June, when overall industrial production grew 7.4%. On a monthly basis, output fell 1.8% in July, while seasonally adjusted production was 4.2% higher than a year earlier. The figures suggest that Polish industry continues to expand at a solid pace, although month-to-month volatility and softer manufacturing growth indicate that the recovery remains uneven across individual sectors.
