Polish president signs amendment to traffic law

President Andrzej Duda has signed an amendment to the Road Traffic Act, which aims to solve two important problems related to the development of the road network and increasing traffic, the Chancellery of the President has said.
“The first issue is to ensure the rapid passage of emergency services undertaking rescue operations in the event of a road accident, and the second – to reduce road congestion by introducing uniform rules for performing the lane-change maneuver in a situation when on a road with at least two lanes in one direction driving is impossible,” the Chancellery’s communiqué states.
The amendment will enter into force 21 days after its publication.
