Polish tax authorities to audit millions of Poles

The so-called DAC7 directive came into force in 2023, which imposed new obligations on some Polish entrepreneurs, but not new taxes. This could now change. The Tax Office will be scrutinizing entrepreneurs who sell their services or goods online.
The new tax regulations will cover several popular platforms, such as Booking, UberEats, Vinted, Allegro, Amazon, Airbnb, and Bolt, in connection with the introduction of new rules arising from the EU directive DAC7.
Taxpayers may receive a so-called behavioral list from the tax authorities.
Tax offices throughout Poland have been equipped with new tools for verifying taxpayers. The tax authorities will check whether entrepreneurs using Booking, Allegro, Vinted, Amazon, and other platforms are not evading their tax obligations. The audit is expected to cover up to 20 million people.
