Winning the European championships marks the best period in terms of international achievements by POlish volleyball. This applies not only to the performance of the national team, which is performing exceptionally well in European championships but also to club volleyball. Matches involving both the national team and clubs, including friendly matches, are attracting large crowds of fans. Sporting success and viewer interest are translating into increasing sponsor engagement. According to Sponsoring Insight data, volleyball accounts for 19.7 percent of revenue from the sale of sponsorship rights.
“The sponsorship and rights market, in terms of clubs, federations, and volleyball leagues, amounts to PLN 450-500 million,” Michał Gradzik, Managing Partner at Sponsoring Insight, said.
According to the Sponsoring Insight report, companies in Poland invest the most in football, the most-watched sport globally. Football accounts for 37.1 percent of revenue from the sale of sponsorship rights, but volleyball takes the second place.
