Polish WB Group signs joint venture with SK company Hanwha Aerospace

At September’s MSPO defense fair in Kielce, Poland’s WB Group—the country’s largest private defense company—will unveil two innovations: the Stormrider unmanned boat and the Future Task Force, a mixed manned–unmanned land platoon. Stormrider, an 8.5-meter vessel armed with a machine gun and Warmate drone launchers, is designed for reconnaissance, strike, and patrol missions at sea. On land, the Future Task Force will integrate command vehicles with remotely operated carriers armed with machine guns, loitering munitions, and mine launchers, extending battlefield reach beyond 50 km.
WB also plans a joint venture with South Korea’s Hanwha Aerospace to produce Homar-K (Chunmoo) rockets in Poland—the first full domestic missile production. These projects highlight WB’s expansion across air, land, and sea unmanned domains.
