Polish złoty in good shape despite global uncertainty

The Polish złoty remains one of the strongest emerging market currencies, supported by solid economic fundamentals, strong investor interest, and relatively high real interest rates. According to Ebury, the EUR/PLN exchange rate has stayed stable, hovering around 4.25 despite global volatility. Earlier in 2025, the złoty reached its strongest level against the euro since 2015 (4.13). Inflation has dropped to 4.1%, allowing Poland’s central bank (NBP) to start easing monetary policy.
While rate cuts may continue, the złoty is expected to remain stable. Risks include rising public spending and limited fiscal flexibility, with debt projected to near 60% of GDP by 2026. Still, forecasts suggest EUR/PLN will stay near 4.25 through 2026, barring major political or fiscal disruptions.
