Prediction: AI agents will revolutionize e-commerce
Polish e-commerce is entering a phase of deep technological and regulatory transformation. With 78% of internet users shopping online, the market has stabilized, shifting competition toward retaining and better understanding existing customers. The value of the sector is expected to grow from PLN 152 billion in 2025 to PLN 165 billion in 2026, with 8–9% growth and a 14% share of total retail sales. Competition is intensifying between platforms such as Allegro, Temu, and Shein, while InPost plans to launch an AI-driven marketplace in 2026.
At the same time, the European Union is tightening regulations on Asian platforms, potentially reshaping competition. A major breakthrough will be the mass adoption of AI shopping agents, changing how consumers discover and purchase products. Faster but smarter delivery models and AI-driven personalization are set to redefine the sector’s profitability and customer experience.
