Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced a 12.3% salary increase for employees in the public sector, civil services, and uniformed services as part of the 2024 budget project. This raise is expected to exceed the projected 6.6% inflation rate for the coming year.

The increase aims to appreciate the efforts of various personnel, including firefighters, soldiers, police, border guards, and teachers. The Minister of Finance is discussing the timing of this raise with the Minister of National Defense and the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration. The raise is set to be effective from the beginning of the year for most of the public sector.
