The value of sales of decorative paints, which account for more than half of the paint and adhesives market in Poland, increased by 5.6 percent y/y in 2018, to approximately PLN 2 billion (compared with a 0.2 percent growth a year earlier), the Polish Paint and Adhesives Manufacturers Association (PZPFiK) has revealed. The sales volume, however, decreased by 0.2 percent. The discrepancy results from the fact that the prices of decorative paints went up last year, Bartłomiej Ślązak, the managing director of PZPFiK, explained.
