Q2 saw rapid increase in export of computer equipment related to AI
Poland’s goods exports rose 7.3% y/y in the second quarter of 2026, driven by a 3.7% increase in volume and 4.2% higher transaction prices, according to the National Bank of Poland. Export volumes grew at their fastest pace since 2021, led by computer equipment, likely reflecting increased assembly of servers designed for AI. Exports of refined copper and raw silver also surged amid record global prices. Imports increased 8.9% in value, largely because import prices rose 7.3%, especially for fuels; import volumes grew just 1.5%.
Higher imports of capital goods supported computer equipment exports, while imports from China accelerated, particularly passenger cars and vehicle parts.
