In 2025, photovoltaic power plants will be classified as taxable structures under Poland's property tax regulations. However, only commercial solar installations will be subject to taxation, while residential systems used for private purposes remain exempt.

According to new rules effective January 1, 2025, only the construction-related components of solar farms, such as foundations and supporting structures, will be taxed, not the solar panels themselves.

While the Finance Ministry assured that no additional burdens would be imposed, the wording of the law raises concerns. Businesses operating commercial photovoltaic power plants should prepare for potential tax obligations, but private homeowners will not be affected.
