Record number of deaths from Covid-19 in Poland broken
A total of 27,887 new and confirmed cases of coronavirus infection was found in Poland, 954 people died, 201,254 vaccinations were carried out – the Ministry of Health announced on Thursday. A total of 2,499,507 infections, 56,659 deaths and 6,999,652 vaccinations have been reported so far.
The ministry said that the high number of deaths today is the result of, among others, delays in reporting by medical facilities caused by the holiday season.
So far, 2,076,504 people have recovered, and 34,864 people infected with coronavirus are hospitalized. 3,362 people are connected to respirators. 433,346 people are quarantined.
On the last day, over 111,500 coronavirus tests were performed. In total, 12.7 million samples from 12.4 million people have been tested so far.
