Artificial intelligence could increase Poland’s real GDP by between 1.3% and 12.1% by 2035, according to a new World Bank Group report, Navigating the Age of AI: Implications for Poland’s Economy. The scale of the benefits will depend on business investment, workers’ ability to adapt, and public policies supporting the transition.

The report says AI could begin boosting productivity in Poland within three years, but gains are not guaranteed. They will require investment in infrastructure, skills, innovation-friendly regulations and labor market tools helping workers move into new roles. Currently, only 8% of Polish companies use AI in at least one business process, indicating strong growth potential.

The business services sector is expected to feel the effects early, as routine tasks are automated and companies shift toward higher-value activities. The report stresses that reskilling, education, social protection and tax policies will be key to ensuring AI-driven growth benefits workers broadly, not only owners of capital.
