Report: nearly 30% of employees fear layoffs

According to the “Group Layoffs Under the Microscope” report, 28% of Polish employees fear losing their jobs due to mass layoffs, mainly due to financial difficulties and organizational changes in their companies. Over the past five years, layoffs have been most common in trade, industry, and construction. Men are more concerned than women, likely due to their dominance in at-risk industries.
Among employees who feel at risk, 34% confirmed that their employer has announced layoffs. Many cite automation, market competition, and economic crises as contributing factors. While 60% of workers would switch careers if laid off, 36% have no financial savings. Additionally, only 8% have a detailed backup plan, highlighting job security concerns in Poland.
