Retail sales in Poland continued to grow y/y in July 2026, although they declined slightly from the previous month. Seasonally adjusted retail sales rose 3.6% y/y but fell 0.3% compared with June, according to Eurostat. Poland significantly outperformed the broader EU, where retail sales increased 1% y/y and declined 0.4% m/m. In the eurozone, sales rose 0.6% y/y and fell 0.6% m/m, below market expectations.

Among EU countries with available data, Germany recorded the steepest monthly decline at 3.4%, followed by Spain at 0.9%, while Italy and Poland each fell 0.3%. Latvia posted the strongest monthly growth at 2.5%, followed by Cyprus and Luxembourg.
