Seasonally adjusted retail sales in Poland increased by 9.3% in June, the EU statistical office Eurostat reported. In monthly terms, retail sales in Poland decreased by 1%.
In the entire European Union, retail sales declined 1.3% monthly and fell by 2.8% compared to a year ago.
The largest annual decline in total retail trade was observed in Denmark (-9.5%), Germany and Ireland (8.8% each), and the Netherlands (6.1%). The largest increases were recorded in Slovenia (22.1%), Poland (+ 9.3%) and Cyprus (+ 8.4%).
