Retail sales increased by 3.9% y/y in July
Poland’s retail sales at constant prices rose 3.9% y/y in July 2026, according to Statistics Poland (GUS), slightly below the market consensus of 4.2%. Compared with June, retail sales increased 2.2%. From January through July, sales were up 3.7% y/y, compared with 3.3% growth in the same period of 2025. After seasonal adjustment, July sales were 4.3% higher y/y but 0.3% lower than in June.
Online retail sales also continued to expand, rising 9% y/y in current prices. E-commerce accounted for 8.9% of total retail sales, up from 8.6% a year earlier.
