Rising Living Costs in Warsaw Highlighted in Global Study

Warsaw has seen a significant increase in its cost of living, rising 35 places to rank 135th globally, according to a Mercer study. This is largely due to escalating housing prices and inflation, which are the primary factors impacting the cost of living in cities worldwide.
The study assessed 226 cities and placed Hong Kong at the top for the fifth consecutive year, followed by Singapore. Four Swiss cities—Zurich, Geneva, Basel, and Bern—featured prominently. In Europe, other expensive cities include London, Vienna, and Berlin.
The report underscores the importance of housing costs and the economic impact of inflation on international employees, emphasizing the need for adequate compensation strategies for expatriates.
