Ruined palace in Bełcz Wielki to be turned into a hotel

The ruined baroque palace in Bełcz Wielki, damaged by fire in 2016, has been purchased by Gabriela and Marcin Pachołek for under PLN 300,000. The couple plans to restore the historic site and convert it into a hotel with banquet halls, a restaurant, wine bar, pub, spa, and conference rooms. The renovation, expected to cost PLN millions, began in May 2025 with official permits and support from local authorities and the heritage conservator.
The fire, likely arson, destroyed the roof and attic, leaving the structure heavily damaged. The project aims to revive the 18th-century palace and is expected to take years. The owners are already hosting photo walks and open days to engage the public.
