S&P cut Poland's GDP growth forecasts for 2023-2025

S&P Global Ratings lowered its forecast for Poland's GDP growth this year to 0.7% from the previously estimated 1.1% in June. Furthermore, for the years 2024 and 2025, S&P has reduced its forecasts by 0.2 and 0.4 percentage points, respectively, to 3% and 2.9%.
'We have lowered our GDP growth forecasts for Central and Eastern European (CEE) economies, given that most of them experienced a contraction in GDP during the second quarter. We also anticipate ongoing challenges in exports to developed European economies, a trend particularly noticeable in Hungary and Poland,” the agency wrote.
