Rating agency S&P has kept Poland's rating at A-/A-2 for long- and short-term foreign currency obligations and A/A-1 for long- and short-term domestic currency obligations, according to its statement on Friday. The stable rating outlook balances the risks for Poland arising from the uncertain external environment and pre-election “fiscal pressure” with further income convergence compared to EU countries. Diversified economy, educated workforce, EU membership, the level of public and private debt, solid external indicators and a “relatively deep” capital market are the basis for Poland's credit assessment, according to the agency.
