Scanway developing data processing software to focus on DaaS
Polish space company Scanway is expanding its data-processing software and adding Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) to its 2026–2028 strategy. It aims to earn recurring subscription revenue by turning satellite data into useful analysis, rather than simply selling images. Its HYDRA software combines optical, thermal, and radar data, with plans to develop tailored services for multiple customers. Scanway targets PLN 200 million in cumulative sales for 2026–2028, PLN 20 million in EBITDA in 2028, and a PLN 100 million order backlog by year-end 2028. It is also developing very-high-resolution imaging technology, targeting 50-centimeter resolution by 2028 and commercial sales from 2029.
In the first half of 2026, revenue was PLN 9.6 million, with a PLN 7.8 million EBITDA loss.
