In Q1 2025, Poles purchased nearly 1,000 residential properties in Spain—up 25% year-on-year—continuing a years-long trend of record-breaking activity. In 2024 alone, they bought 4,213 homes, especially along the Costa del Sol, with Marbella being the top choice. Poland now ranks 9th among foreign property buyers in Spain, with a 3.9% market share.

Since 2021, Poles have acquired over 12,400 properties, driven largely by IT professionals in their 40s taking advantage of remote work. Post-pandemic, many began by renting before purchasing. Legislative changes in Spain, such as ending the "golden visa" for non-EU buyers and introducing steep taxes, may soon impact international investment trends.
