In May 2025, retail sales in Polish shopping centers rose by 2.8% y/y, while foot traffic increased by 0.3%, according to the Polish Council of Shopping Centers (PRCH). The strongest growth was in the entertainment sector (+36.6%), driven by popular movie releases. Restaurants and cafes rose by 12.6%, while health and beauty services grew by over 9%. Large and very large malls saw solid sales and footfall growth, while medium-sized centers reported slight declines.

Regionally, the biggest increases occurred in Kraków, Poznań, and Warsaw. The data reflects a broader trend: shopping centers are evolving into leisure and lifestyle destinations, with growing focus on experiences and services rather than just traditional retail.
